I am an artist in every sense of the word. I cannot remember official titles, names, or details that seem extremely common in society, no matter how hard I try. But I can remember a face, a story, an event, or a room I was in 30 years ago. And my art is reflective of that spirit; my work has feeling, fun, and is usually uplifting.
I am a very blessed woman; I have a carrier that I absolutely love. I get to feel fulfilled every day in my studio creating new beautiful works of art. I also get to run a gallery, in a space my husband and I remodeled together. I get to share my work and the work of others with our community, and I get to teach people how to be artists, or provide them with a fun night out painting or sculpting.
I also get the chance to enjoy my creativity remodeling historic buildings in our downtown with my husband. We love to rebuild an old space and give it new life marring history with modern amenities. One of these spaces became my art display window. I love creating new work specially to hang there. I have been told so many times from people in our community that one piece or another made their day better. And that is the best complement I could have towards my art.
When I am not working on my artwork, or the gallery, or our buildings, I love spending time with my Husband and our two girls. We love being together goofing off or doing things outside, gardening, cooking, or spending time with good friends.
For me life is about being faithful to God, loving your blessings, taking care of your blessings, and sharing the joy of a positive and Christian life.
